Don't steal my sunshine

Sunglasses - Asos
Necklace - Wanderdusk
Leather jacket - Zara
Bag - Zara
Dress - Primark
Converse high tops

I fell in love with this leather jacket the second I saw it, styling wise I'm sticking it with greys, black, white and neutrals, its a really easy way to add a pop of colour to you're wardrobe and its amazing quality for the price! I'm sad that its getting hotter as I know I won't be able to get this out as often as it deserves!

Leopard print

Sunglasses - Depop
T shirt - Newlook
Slip dress - Primark
Belt - Asos
Bag - Zara
Boots - Newlook

Slip dresses with t - shirts tucked underneath are something I've wanted to try for quite a while now, this little beauty was a steal from Primark, I think it was around £6 ! I'm still not ready to embrace flip flops so I'm sticking with trusty boots for now, I also can't apologise for my hair ... it's too hot!

Have a good week!

The accessories you need this summer

Western belts - Asos
Bandana - eBay
Choker - Boohoo
Bolo necklace - Wanderdusk

I've recently started getting right back into accessories, I've really been rating simple outfits and taking them to that next level with a simple accessory, it really is the easiest way to bring you're wardrobe up to date, here are the pieces I've been reaching for the most

Western belts : Western belts have been around for a while now, weather you reach for a bolder studded one or a simple styled buckle version, these belts really add something to an outfit, perfect for a pair of high waisted jeans or clinched around a jumpsuit or dress to give those 70s vibes
Bandanas : The most versatile accessory to my collection to date, wear it round you're neck, around you're head or even around you're arm. Available in a vast array of colours, you can pick these up super cheap from eBay rather than you're average highstreet store
Chokers : From thick to thin everyone has been reaching for the 90s style choker, perfect for day or night this is the perfect necklace right now
Bolo necklaces : Perfect layered with a choker and the ultimate festival vibes, see a massive and affordable range over at the lovely Beckys' website wanderdusk !

How I style culottes

Cut out roll neck - Asos
Belt - Newlook
Culottes - Asos
Leather jacket - Topshop
Fluffy bag - River Island
Sock boots - Public Desire

I always find culottes easy to style if you stick with the whole big at the bottom so tight on top rule. I brought these PU babies from Asos a while ago and its only now I've found a way I'm happy with wearing them. My old sock boots broke *sobs* so I opted for this new square toe style from PD, I love them!

My technicolour coat of dreams : topshop

Hat, coat & jeans : Topshop
Top & bag : Newlook
Boots : Primark

Every winter I lust over a not very practical coat, I never purchase and then I'm left with the ultimate regret of not having a prized purchase. When this coat hit down in Topshop a few weeks ago I knew I had to have it. its beyond lairy, but would you believe its one of the warmest coats I own. I've been wearing this daily and keeping my bottom half very simple and monochromatic to ensure I don't look like a crazy woman! this was definitely an impulse buy - but a worth while one!

chromatic

Light knit, formal joggers - Topshop
Hat, mac, shoes - Newlook
Clutch - Monki

Formal joggers are going to be a firm favorite in my winter wardrobe they are so easy to pair up with heels for a more formal feel, and with trainers they feel really trendy. This was my outfit for model store roll out for Topshop yesterday, I wanted to keep it really minimalist. I'm loving my monchromatics at the moment!

Mustard

Mustard collarless waffle shirt - Topshop
Striped slouch trousers - Topshop
Low block heels - Newlook
Necklace - Vintage (my nans!)
Bag - Thrifted

Can you see a running trend here, now I've started at Topshop my wardrobe is beginning to become full of TS product.. not a bad thing I don't hope. I've really been reaching for shirts lately, it all shapes and guises, and this waffle texture shirt with back detail had me at hello. I usually steer clear of mustard as it always feels like such a here today gone tomorrow kind of trend but I feel like I can warrant some longevity out of this in my wardrobe. These newlook heels I've had for a while , I actually re brought them when my last ones fell apart - I can literally wear these all day and night!

What are you reaching for in you're AW15 wardrobe?

culotte'ing it

Sleeveless jacket - Newlook
Sleeveless shirt - River Island
Culottes - Topshop
Heels - Dorothy Perkins
Bag - F&F
Hair extensions - eBay

I wore this outfit for an important meeting today and received quite a few compliments on it so due to nice weather and having 2 seconds to myself I thought I'd share it with you all! Its also one of those outfits that refuses to be photographed and makes you look chunky from every angle - anyone else struggle with this!? any who, anything high waisted sits well on my figure and culottes are a great transitional piece when the weather is playing up! This is one of five million of these jackets I own.. I must stop! Its my mam's birthday monday so I've been sorting that out all weekend

What items are making you're transitional wardrobes?

70s vibes

Shirt : A&G
Mac & Shoes : Newlook
Jeans : River Island
Bag : Mulberry

About a week ago Daniel & I visited the Alexandra Palace in London to go to the Great British Tattoo show, despite having 8 tattoos I wore a really covered up outfit which got me some really confused looks by the rest of the uber tattooed crowd. Needless to say we had an amazing day and I had massive tattoo envy of nearly everyone in the room, we didn't know you could actually get tattooed at the convention so were planning to get some work done when we go again next year. I'm infatuated with this shirt that I got from work a couple weeks ago, I've been feeling super 70s in most of my outfit choices lately and this is no exception. ALSO, if you're looking for jeans - River Island is my new favorite the quality and colour is far surpassing my usual Topshop offerings!

Superstar

Vest, jeans and sunglasses : Newlook
Waistcoat : Cameo Rose
Trainers : Adidas Superstars
Bag : F&F

You know when you just fancy a real treat? not a thrifty Primark splurge but a real satisfying buy - these superstars were that for me. If you live / work / reside in London you'll have probably seen superstars everywhere and I've succumbed to the trend ever since Pharrell launched his multi coloured beauties I've had my eye on a pair - unfortunately i rarely invest in anything other than black or white footwear (so that i can wear it all the time) so no bright coloured numbers were meant to be. Then the plain white made my feet look really bulky .. THEN I ventured into office on my lunch break and as soon as these were on my feet they were mine. I've been experimenting with trainers in outfits alot lately as there so comfy for work. This is my most fave combination so far.

What footwear have you been lusting after?

Life lately : Dad's anniversary, OOTD, Canterbury and more

Its been abit of crazy couple of weeks for myself, and this weekend has been no exception. I've landed a new job as visual manager of Watford so I'm currently all set on moving - so that would explain to you all my absence! However, I was stopped in my tracks this weekend and diagnosed with menorrhagia and dysmenorrhoea which caused passing out a trip to the hospital, me feeling super sorry for myself and a big dose of ordered bed rest! its a common condition related to PCOS and just another silly annoyance sigh. However, dosed up on lots of antibiotics and co-codamol I went out Saturday to commemorate the six year anniversary of my dad's passing

Outfit // Duster: A&G @ Newlook // Roll neck split side vest : Newlook // White Jeans : Newlook // Powder blue sandals : 915 @ Newlook

001)  We had a really lovely day. We went to visit the crematorium where his ashes are scattered and then I took my uncle to a beautiful place in Canterbury which has a secret garden and a little bridge over which my mum and dad used to take me to play 'pooh sticks' google winnie the pooh pooh sticks if you don't know

002) We were fortunate enough that there was a miniature local music festival on and the grounds were beautifully decorated, it felt like fate that we were there. Grief is something I have definitely learnt to grow with in the last six years, and that time has passed so bloody quickly. I can honestly say that this is the first year I didn't feel bad for smiling. We felt ready to celebrate dads' life and be grateful for the time we had, and look forward to when we meet again.

 003) My uncle also took us to the cutest lunch bar 'pork & co' a really quaint pulled pork and salt beef bap take away place. It was delicious and the service was second to none. I was left feeling really positive yesterday, which is massive first for such a usually sad day.

What have you been up to this bank holiday?

If you read my style post a while back you'll have seen me mention that I want to start ditching the print in favour for longer lasting more practical pieces and I think this outfit is prime example of the new wardrobe I'm trying to pull together. I've got abit of an important meeting tomorrow and I'll be wearing exactly this - So I'll let you know how that goes.. tropical co-ord & hair extensions

Jacket and shorts - Newlook
T - shirt - Bershka
Boots - Newlook
Hat - Newlook
Now that summer is approaching I finally feel like its safe for me to start embracing print again. ESPECIALLY in the form of a two piece. This is the second co-ord I've invested in for the summer, I'm planning to get alot of wear out of this both as separates and together. The best part about a short suit is how formal you can dress it up and by layering a t shirt get it right into you're everyday wardrobe. I've discovered Bershka as a brand lately and have been blown away by their offerings. I paired this 'less is more' slogan tee with the lairy print of my co-ord for abit of irony if i'm honest..
If you didn't already know, I'm in the process of growing my hair! with the thought of a wedding on the horizon and having had short hair for around six years, If I don't do it now - I never will. A couple of years ago cliphair sent me a set of their double weft chocolate brown extensions, and I loved them. However two years on, they've had their day. I opted for the dip dye extensions this time round, and I've been so impressed with their quality and seamless blending into my own hair. I've had numerous comments about how you can't tell these luscious locks aren't my own! I've got two sets - one that I've curled and these which I keep straight. My only advice to you if you have short hair is not to wear these everyday, the weight of the hair leaves me with head aches at the moment as I am still getting used to them, and with the shortest parts of my hair the clips can snap the hair - these aren't a permanent thing for me, but they are helping me grow my pixie crop out!

What have you been experimenting with lately?

Shirt, jumper dress, boots - Newlook
Socks - Tescos

Please don't tell me you've never posted with messy hair, I do this to my hair quite abit lately - although usually with an extension in to make the bun bigger and better but heeeeeey, were all human! I've been wearing long jumpers a fair bit with long socks or tights with similar sock like qualities. This is quite a grungey outfit post for me, but I'm embracing it. Super comfy over here!
