How to style a two piece : from chavtastic to stylish

Jacket and trousers - Missguided
Backpack - 'Wild at heart' Grafea
T-shirt, hat and shoes - Newlook

Have you spotted that I found an adequate inside location yet? FINALLY. I treated myself to this Grafea back pack from the Oposites attract collection when I got my mini promotion a while back and its been glued to my back ever since... although I'm not sure how long it will stay white for, Its a beauty isn't it?
I brought this two piece from missguided in the sale and when it arrived I was SO intimidated by it I nearly sent it back. By needless to say I think with the right styling jacket and trouser two pieces can look so on trend. If you are thinking about purchasing one, my two main pieces of advice would be to stay clear of wearing them with trainers to avoid the tracksuit look (eeeep!) and use a chunky belt to define you're waist and ensure the trousers look formal. Since styling this up I've really enjoyed it, and I'm looking forward to wearing them separate too!

What pieces have you been trying lately?

The long shirt : winter wardrobe update

Shirt, boots, necklace, hat - Newlook
I know, I am a walking, talking Newlook advertisement lately. This shirt came in yesterday and I brought it in a size 16 just to make sure it was extra long to wear as a dress. Long line shirts are becoming really popular lately and are so flattering oversized. I'm planning to update my wardrobe with some plain versions ASAP. I've also ventured into necklace groups lately, they are making a really welcomed update to my usual statement necklace style.
What have you been wearing into winter?

Mary Poppins, Hello and changes

Fedora - H&M kids
Necklace - Rome @ Newlook
Crop top - Cameo Rose
Skirt, socks, shoes, belt - All Newlook

Well hello there again my little space on the interweb *brushes cobwebs from corners of its fashion o'clock* its that time where I would appologise for lack of posts again, but unfortunatley it has come to my attention that I am not a full time paid blogger - I am a paid full time something else and that for the moment is taking priority.
HOWEVER, if you have been pondering where my face has been, some big changes have been happening in my neck of the woods, for one I finished university! I have passed with a 2:1 which I am over the moon about and I graduate in november - cue melt down looking for perfect grad dress - I've also moved back to Kent temorarily and moved in with my nanny :) whos wonderful garden/house you can expect to see floating around in my photographs AND I am currently working full time as a visual merchandiser for Newlook in London Oxford circus store - EEEEE! I'm loving my new position and even the 4am wake up calls are seeming worth it. Its all upwards from here guys!
Anyway.. on the outfit front, I've been trying to pluck up the courage to sport a full a-line midi for a while now, and I found this at work and fell in love, if you have big hips like myself, a-lines are 100% the way forward, this outfit is so comfortable honestly. Expecting to ootd repeat this alot...
How are you all!

Interning outfits day 001 : kimono

Necklaces - Republic (old)
Chelsea boots - eBay

Today was my first day interning at River Island's PR office! I have had the most surreal day, the office is so warm and welcoming and I'd already recommend it on my first bloomin' day! I've watched the model castings for Rihanna's collection today, and assisted Mel Ottenberg and their team with various things like food and drink runs. So crazy. Anyways! I thought I'd make an effort and snap a quick outfit shot for you guys, although my camera's playing up, i'm tired and the lightings awful. Anyway, I digress, I never realized how much ebay I had on today! all these bits are great quality AND there all UK sellers which means they'll get to you sooner than the across seas sellers. I'm loving kimonos at the moment, if you have anymore recommendations on where I can buy more please share! Heres to a great two weeks, and I shall outfit post as much as possible! I'm actually going to an LFW show on friday so I'm sure I'll be sharing that with you all too...

We are made from broken parts

Dress - H&M £14.99 (Last year)
Denim Jacket - Thrifted (Originally Gap)
Sandals - Primark £12.99
Bangles - A selection from Newlook sets
Bag - Paul's Boutique 'Bridget' £70

Did I mention that I am whole heartily in love with these sandals since my lovely godmother came to visit and treated me to them! They literally haven't left my feet since. This dress was a total bargain last year, my manager brought it and when she brought it I knew I needed to follow suit! I'd actually been saving it for a wedding/christening/other fancy event but none of those have happened so I decided to dress it down with my charity shop bargain denim jacket :) I was doing so well with posts and then I started 7 day weeks! I'm now working two jobs, at Republic and more recently Debenhams!

Wish me luck!
Have a lovely week

Zara "Wild Rose"

Zara 'Wild Rose' £7.99

I've never actually featured a purfume on here before, and I'm not really sure what to write about this, so bare with me! I was wandering Zara the other day lusting over all the beautiful bags and what not when it occurred to me I'd never smelt their perfumes  After smelling a fair amount - who knew there were SO MANY - I stumbled across this little beauty, Wild rose is a very floral mature scent and not very sweet, however its not overpowering like some cheaper perfumes on the market. I have tried to find the actual details of the top notes and what not on the web for you all but I cannot seem to find any info! When I saw that it was just £7.99 I had to grab it, its the perfect handbag purfume for when you want a top up of scent through the day. I'm pleasantly surprised with this! and although you cannot buy Zara perfumes online I'd highly suggest you get your noses down to your local Zara and sniff out a bargain!

What perfumes have you been using lately?

FF Fashion Finds: Zara s/s '12

So today after university I went for a wander around Southampton shops to look for some inspiration for up and coming photo shoots and to do a bit of window shopping really - I assumed it would cheer me up - how wrong could a skint student be! Primark is a treasure trove of beautiful affordable summer essentials, Riverisland does mute neons, pastels and lace down to a t and h&m has something for any night out, however I then ventured into Zara. Now, I don't usually shop in Zara mainly because of the price tags and secondly I usually only find things in the TRF range, however today I was so surprised and the gorgeous garments in the Zara Women's section! asymmetric skirts and dresses, mint green jeans, pleats, pastel colours - the whole store in Southampton is SO eye catching, so in true blogger spirit I grabbed my favourite items and tried them on - and took some photos for good measure. I apologize for the poor quality - I took these on my iphone (I think I'd get funny looks with a DSLR going off in the changing rooms) and I deliberately didn't put my face in these photos as you'd be horrified if you knew what my face/hair looked like this morning! So since I currently have no beauty products to review and no worth while OOTDs I thought I'd show you some 'fashion finds' and some of my favourite pieces in Zara right now :) ...

This was the first garment I picked up in Zara, very greek goddess esque and would be perfect for summer bbqs and formal occasions! Its actually got small 'spaghetti' straps which cross at the back but i chose to tuck them in, This dress was made of chiffon fabric and again was on trend with the asymmetric cut, Unfortunately the colour washed me out completely and didn't suit me atall, still a beautiful dress though! £29.99

These shorts match the shirt following and are hot pant style perfect for summer nights or holidays and really flattering on the legs, gorgeous pattern and colours. Retailing at £22.99.

This shirt featuring the same print as the shorts before is beautiful. Its silky to the touch and the fabric is really breathable (If that makes sense!) it does up right to the collar so its perfect if you like wearing necklaces under the collar of shirts like me, I love the colours and the print featuring hawaian flowers and waterlillys, it almost reminds me of the kind of design you see on kimonoes. It retails at £29.99
My favourite find by far, this beautiful baby pink asymmetric pleated dress, longer on the left hand side with a 'paper bag' band round the waist. You can't see here how flattering it is because I had to try it on with the shirt, but it fits beautifully. This retails for £29.99 .. Keep your eyes peeled, I might try and create a DIY version of this.

What do you think of Zara's s/s 12 collection? Do you own anything yet?
