Re-organizing my makeup storage

Over the last couple of weeks I've barley had time to tidy my room, let alone re-organize things. I'm really fond of keeping my make-up space a real treasure. I'm lucky that over the last couple of years, and houses I've lived in (at uni etc) that I've always had some form of space to display things. Whilst with my nan currently I'm using the dressing table area in my room, my grandad actually built this along with the rails either side - whos up for a room tour? - and its so so perfect for all my acrylic storage. I need to film a video of all this for you guys asap, but for now I thought I'd share what I spent last night doing!

What do you think?

Urban Outfitters : 'Twinkle'

Urban outfitters 'Twinkle' £6
Being honest I should have picked a different nail varnish to coat this over but I was far to excited to wait! 'Twinkle' Is a top coat glitter nail varnish. It is clear with tiny flecks of silver glitter and enhanced by bigger holographic stars in blue, pink and silver. Application wise you do have to dig and blob the stars on as they don't come straight out on the brush and you will 100% need a top coat to make sure the stars don't get caught on things and fall off. Never the less a gorgeous varnish!

Which Urban Outfitters nail varnishes do you like?

Essie 'Fiji'

Photobucket Photobucket Photobucket Essie 'Fiji' - £7.99 Boots
Now that my nails have grown I've been experimenting alot more, and looking into nail products avidly. A couple weeks ago I discovered Essie had been launched in Boots, and I quickly heard about this shade - 'Fiji' , I've become very much a neutral nail varnish girl lately - otherwise nail clashing against outfit choice is'nt a good look! I've always been an avid buyer of Barry M but lately have began to see the down side of them - the gloopy ness the time they take to dry, the stains they leave on my nails. So I thought hey why not £7.99 for a nail varnish .. I deserve a treat? right? RIGHT.

This is probably one of the best nail varnishes I've ever splashed out on. I spent about half an hour trying to find a cheaper duplicate and alas couldn't. The finish of this polish is perfect. An off white pinky colour. Bright and fresh. The polish drys quickly and its really nice and shiny. It took about 3 coats to give me this 'opaque-ness' and its lasted 2/3 days without chipping so far. I've also got Models Own 'Ibiza Mix' on my ring fingers here.

My advice? YES expensive nail varnish IS worth splashing out on - if its a colour that you can wear all the time! 10/10 (P.s I realise I'm lacking in outfit posts lately - my work uniform has became rather boring. Fear not I have some lined up!)

Have you tried any Essie polishes yet? Which your favorite?!

Miss Sporty 'Sparkle Touch'

I recently brought Miss Sporty 'Sparkle Touch' it was around £1.99 and is a dupe of a sparkly nail varnish by Rimmel for £3.99 which ive forgotten the name of sorry! I don't usually wear nail varnish unless its Barry M as its the only one that seems to last on my nails but after about 3 coats i built up some pretty good glitz with this, Its a very runny formula but the brush is really good and easy to apply! excuse the state of my nails i need a product that stops them from flaking after all the acrylics i used to have and to make them grow! the pink crackle on the ring finger is barry m by the way! This nailv arnish lasted around a week for me - bearing in mind i wash up and use my hands ALOT but its well worth a buy and the easy application makes it a good glittery essential 4/5 for me!

Is there any budget nail varnishes you'd recommend? i'd love to know ..
