Simple stylin'

Duster jacket - Wallis Limited edition
Long line shirt - Topshop
Jeans - Newlook
Heels - Dorothy Perkins
Bag - Mulberry
Watch - Michael Kors
If you read my style post a while back you'll have seen me mention that I want to start ditching the print in favour for longer lasting more practical pieces and I think this outfit is prime example of the new wardrobe I'm trying to pull together. I've got abit of an important meeting tomorrow and I'll be wearing exactly this - So I'll let you know how that goes.. I'm always asked where I got this jacket, it was such a steal in the Wallis sale of all places! turns out shopping with you're parents can come in handy afterall! I also love a pair of boyfriend jeans with heels - its the perfect match! p.s can I also mention my hair is in a ponytail!? horray for hair growth and a good set of clip ins!

How to style a two piece : from chavtastic to stylish

Jacket and trousers - Missguided
Backpack - 'Wild at heart' Grafea
T-shirt, hat and shoes - Newlook

Have you spotted that I found an adequate inside location yet? FINALLY. I treated myself to this Grafea back pack from the Oposites attract collection when I got my mini promotion a while back and its been glued to my back ever since... although I'm not sure how long it will stay white for, Its a beauty isn't it?
I brought this two piece from missguided in the sale and when it arrived I was SO intimidated by it I nearly sent it back. By needless to say I think with the right styling jacket and trouser two pieces can look so on trend. If you are thinking about purchasing one, my two main pieces of advice would be to stay clear of wearing them with trainers to avoid the tracksuit look (eeeep!) and use a chunky belt to define you're waist and ensure the trousers look formal. Since styling this up I've really enjoyed it, and I'm looking forward to wearing them separate too!

What pieces have you been trying lately?

A black out

Hat - Peacocks
Roll neck and belt - Newlook
Bag - River Island
Scuba Skirt - Topshop (Sale)
Tights - Primark
Boots - Newlook
Lipstick Kate Moss for Rimmel

Happy 2015 everyone! how late am I? I've been meaning to post for such a long time, I have so many new goodies to share and I feel I really missed the post what you got for Christmas which is a massive bummer! But alas, its 2015 and one of my new years resolution is to blog a hell of a lot more. I've been away for a while as I previously mentioned, I was on visual management cover for Newlook in Southampton for a stretch of 5 weeks, which got cut short when I got rushed to hospital with suspected meningitis, which in the end was luckily just a severe kidney infection and glandular fever - So i spent the beginning of the year bed ridden! I also have some even bigger news - I got engaged! Daniel proposed to me on boxing day whilst we were celebrating my early birthday and it was perfect. I think I'll be scheduling a post all about what happened in the next coming weeks!
To the outfit at hand, I waited for this skirt to drop into the sale for SO long, if you read my blog often I'm sure you are sick of seeing so many midi skirts! but this is scuba and its so fit and flare, it gives you the most flattering silhouette. I've also ventured into roll necks after realising I can balance them out if I wear a trusty hat. I am trying to grow my hair now, so I'm afraid fedoras and floppy hats are here to stay!

How has the start to you're new year been?

Places to visit : Ebb & Flow Southampton

-Above image not my own

It's not often that I review places on itsfashionoclock, so when I do you best believe I've found a jem. I'm currently back in my university town of Southampton, and last night I went out with my friend Luke for a catch up, he took me to my new favourite place : Ebb & Flow. Completely new, Ebb & Flow is a cafe / bar on the highstreet in Southampton. From outside the tiled signage and windows give the impression of just another bar or cafe in Southampton. However, upon entering I was quieter literally speechless. If you have a tendency toward anything shabby chic and abit kitsch Ebb & Flow will be a dream come true. We visited in late evening and the atmosphere of the place was really relaxing. There was a mixture of customers, no rowdy students to be seen! mostly couples or friends enjoying cocktails. The bar is literally fit to burst with detail and I could'nt stop looking around and discovering new pieces of art and decor. The drinks menu is broad and boasts of both soft and alcoholic drinks I have never heard of. The prices were pretty spot on with the rest of the city - I paid £7.95 for a cocktail if I am not mistaken. I was also tempted to try the pear lemonade. Food menu wise Ebb and Flow offers a range of light snacks, breakfasts and tapas style dishes for quick wins when your tired from a busy day of shopping. I had a toasted brie sandwich which was incredible - and even better? my side of chips was served in a tea cup! I really enjoyed the atmosphere and elegance of Ebb & Flow and I hope Marstens consider making more as I really think this could be a hit,
- a must visit if you are in or around Southampton!

Tales from the earth : a life filled with adventure bangle

Tales from the earth - a life filled with adventure bangle £45
A week back the lovely people from Tales of the Earth got in touch with me and asked me if I would like to review one of their bangles. Having never heard of their brand before I accepted and was curious to see what I would receive. I couldn't believe my eyes when the bangle arrived. Gorgeous, luxurious packaging with colours that almost reminded me of Tiffany. However this brand is a little more down to earth, made in England and a brand that's a little less well known and more personal. With Christmas just around the corner I truly believe Tales of the earth have the perfect gift with these little beauties. They truly showcase luxury and thoughtfulness in a simplistic stylish fashion. Each bangle is packaged in its own box and pouch and has a small message about the quoted bangle you have chose. I love that the quote is inside the bangle, out of sight, keeping the message really personal to you. I picked the 'a life filled with adventure' bangle because with all the movement in my job right now, and all my plans for the future I really felt this would be perfect to keep close to me right now. The bangle itself is simplistic and chic, and obviously would be really easy to wear with pretty much any outfit you have in mind. The only thing I would say is the bangle is on the smaller side, so make sure you check the measurements before you order. I've also got my eye on the busy bee necklace now, I've been really pleasantly surprised by this brand and would definitely consider buying from them in the future.

London College Of Fashion ; street style photos

Shirt & tights - Primark
Skirt - Choies
Boots & Socks - Topshop
Bag - Monki (Via asos)
Leather jacket - Miss Selfridge
Hat - Newlook

A couple of weeks ago I was grabbed by a couple of girls from the London College of Fashion who were taking street style photographs and they were kind enough to send me a copy of them, lucky me for not needing to shoot this outfit myself. I have only just discovered the Choies website and I have another item I need to blog about ASAP - but I'll save that as a surprise ;) although waiting for the postage was long I could not be happier with the items I recieved. This oversized dog tooth print really screamed out at me, its so bold and looks great toned down with plainer garments such as the shirt I'm wearing here. As promised, I don't think these full a-line skirts will be leaving my body anytime soon .. along with my hat obsession for that matter!

What have you ordered online recently?

I have nothing to wear

Jumper, trousers, shoes & hat - Newlook
Heart clutch - H&M
Lips - MAC 'Riri woo'

I have found a type of jumper I can wear! Horray. I'm really suprised how great the quality of these trousers are - I'm hoping to grab these in maroon and grey in the next couple of weeks too. Im trying to change my style just recently, and trousers are something I really want to embrace. I appologise for my hat - again. Its just a thing for me right now, ha. ALSO, any girls who have wider feet at the front - such as myself, these are the only strappy little heels I have found that my feet don't hang out the side of - and that are comfortable! so all around this post is celebrating some newness in my wardrobe haha.
What have you been embracing wardrobe wise lately?

Boomf : Ediable instagram marshmallow prints!

*Boomf Marshmallow instagram ediable prints - 9 for £12

Yep, you heard me, your instagram pictures printed not on paper, not on cake, but on ediable marshmallows. Cannot believe that nobody had thought of this wonderful idea sooner. I ordered my boomfs at around 3pm yesterday and they were here ready and waiting this morning. Boomf - by the way - is inspired by the noise the box makes when it hits the floor when they come through the letter box - how cute!
For £12 I think these are brilliant! myself and my housemates were amazed when they arrived! and the marshmallows are genuinley so tasty - ask Daniel, he had some too! which we were worried they would be lacking due to them being printed on.
For the small asking price, I was suprised at the quality of the packaging and how professional it looked and felt, these little babies would make a perfect gift for anyone. The printing isnt overwhelmingly clear, but they are printing on marshmallows and your box comes with a complimentary copy of your prints just in case!
I'm so glad I came across Boomf and woul'dnt hesitate to order from them again - I recon these could be the next big thing! keep an eye out...
